Overview

Willow now features a next-generation, Generative AI-driven companion experience, seamlessly integrated into your single-tenant Willow instance. Built entirely on Azure’s robust Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings, this intelligent assistant leverages the power of Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search to deliver contextual, real-time support and insights.

At its core, Willow Copilot is grounded in your organization’s data, ensuring every interaction is relevant and personalized. It draws from three primary data sources:

  1. Your Knowledge Graph – including digital twins, operational insights, and work orders, aka tickets.
  2. Your Documents – such as PDFs of O&M manuals, sequence of operations, troubleshooting docs uploaded in Willow.
  3. Domain-Specific Knowledge – curated from trusted internet sources to supplement and enrich responses.

Willow Copilot transforms how users interact with Willow, offering a natural language interface and making it easy to quickly get the information you need.

Conversations

Willow Copilot is invoked by clicking on the Copilot button in the top right corner of your screen in Willow App. You can adjust the width of the Copilot pane by dragging the left vertical bar. Type a series of user prompts in the Message pane and hold a chain of thought conversations. Copilot retains context of previous questions in the conversation. The Copy button in the bottom right makes it easy to lift the contents of a given response to share in another application, for instance if contacting Willow support with feedback. The delete icon in the top right clears out the entire conversation and all context when you’re ready to move on to a new topic.

Deep Links

Copilot responses contain clickable hyperlinks, so you can easily navigate over to the UX to view an asset, location, insight or ticket.

In the example below, clicking on the first deep link for ‘AHU Discharge Fan Speed Operating near Maximum Air Handling Unit AC-10-1’ opened up the insight.

Switching Languages

To switch from English to say French or Spanish, simply ask the question in your preferred language and Copilot will respond in the same. You can also instruct it with a prompt like ‘Respond in Spanish’.

Daily Briefing

A great way to get started with Willow Copilot is to go to a Building Home Page in Willow App and click on the Create Daily Briefing Hint which shows up right above the message window.

A pre-curated prompt is sent to Copilot, and the response provides an overview of the highlights, top issues and areas that require attention. Click on the one of the deep links to jump over to an insight or simply continue the conversation with follow up questions.
