Document RAG

Copilot uses a technique called Retrieval Augmented Generation to create a vectorized index of documents uploaded in Willow App. At this time, the doc format type supported is PDF. These documents are stored in the Willow graph as Document Twins and often related to relevant asset twins. An AI-generated summary of the document is stored in the document twin and may also be referenced in the response.

Citations

At the bottom of the response, you will see an option to ‘Show Citations/Hide Citations’. Click to show citations for documents referenced in the Copilot response. Citations are a mechanism to prevent LLM hallucination. Clicking on the doc link will take you to the PDF viewer in Willow App.

In the figure below, the summary pane shows the AI-generated summary and the PDF viewer shows the doc contents.
